At Corob Cutters, we make our molding heads in our own factory giving us we have complete control over the quality of our products.
We manufacture four different molding heads, so that you can choose the one that is right for your table saw. We make two sizes that work with Corob Molding Knives or Craftsman molding knives; we also manufacture two molding head sizes that fit the Delta knife design. So, if you already own Craftsman, Corob or Delta molding head knives, choose the molding head that matches those knives. Please note that Shopsmith knives are not compatible with any of our molding heads.
If you are starting from scratch, we recommend one of the Corob MHK heads. Craftsman-style knives can easily be found in the used marketplace; Delta knives are far less common. You can easily tell the two apart: Corob/Craftsman knives feature a shallow locating groove down the center of the knife back; Delta knives are flat on both faces.
Once you choose between the MHK (Corob & Craftsman) and the MHKHD (Delta) molding heads, you need to decide which size molding head to purchase. The smaller diameter heads require less horsepower than the larger ones, but the larger diameter molding heads do provide a better cut.
If your saw is under 2 horsepower, you should use the MHK25 with Corob knives or the MHKHD50 with Delta knives. Saws with greater than 2 horsepower can use either the MHK75 (Corob & Craftsman) or the MHKHD75 (Delta).
Now that you have selected the best molding head for your saw, we invite you to browse our large selection of knife profiles for your collection.
Please note that Shopsmith knives are NOT compatible with any of our molding heads.
