This molding knife profile, for use in the MHK or Craftsman molding head, features a 1/8” radius flute next to a 5/8” radius cove. It is excellent for profiling the top and bottom edges of a traditional coved crown molding.

Use Corob’s #31 Flute knife to mill the major cove on the crown (link to cove cutting video) and finish the molding with the #11 profile.

It can be set to cut just the 1/8” radius flute for decorative moldings on furniture legs and pilasters, or to route a 5/8” cove in a table edge.
