DVC-538K2 MATCHFIT Dovetail Clamps (2-Pack)
The MatchFit Dovetail Clamps from MicroJig allow you to add clamps anywhere you can mill a dovetail groove. Shop built jigs and fixtures have never been easier to make, and you no longer need to buy expensive T-Track. The clamp head slides inside a standard 1/2 inch wide, 14 degree dovetail groove, and locks itself in place when pressure is applied. The MatchFit clamps can be seen being used on our Auxiliary Fence and on the Tenon Jig we feature. Any 1/2", 14 degree dovetail bit can be used, and we also carry MicroJig’s own bit that cuts the proper dovetail groove and also rounds over the top edges for a smoother finish that reduces sanding.

While the dovetail groove for the MatchFit Clamps can be milled with any 1/2", 14 degree dovetail bit, the Matchfit Dovetail bit from MicroJig is specifically designed to make the groove cleanly and efficiently. The carbide cutters are set to an 8 degree shear angle for smoother cutting, and the tips are slightly rounded to provide cleaner cuts and prevent chipping of the carbide. The big difference though is the rounding profile at the top of the carbide. This patent pending design rounds over the tips of the groove to smooth the surface and reduce the need for sanding after the cuts, and it works even if the cut depth is slightly off.
